Firework

Our Teen Program is named FireWork! FireWork offers year-round glassblowing and ceramics instruction for Chicago Public High School students who participate in After School Matters. This program, like all our programs includes a check-in and check-out to build positive peer and adult relationships. The program focuses on artistic skill building and experimentation, while participants are provided mentorship,  wrap-around resources and trauma-informed support where appropriate. There are three 11 week sessions per year where students meet with us between nine and 16 hours weekly. Youth receive a small stipend for their time.
